A couple years ago I had a mad obsession with all things blue and white striped. I had tops, dresses, headbands, shoes and even bags in this color and pattern. It was my ultimate go-to look of choice, especially during summer. Yea, nothing has changed. I still love blue and white stripes on everything! It just has that effortless look to it, like an endless summer vacation. And who doesn’t want that?
I actually had this Unique Vintage dress in my cart for several weeks, and for some reason I just couldn’t bring myself to make the purchase. Then by happenstance, I was in the neighborhood of the brick and mortar store in Burbank, and seeing as how I was rarely ever in the area, decided to pop in for a quick perusing.
I was there for over 2 hours, trying on a dozen things because everything was so cute and I just couldn’t decide. I tried on this dress and IT FIT PERFECTLY. Look, it doesn’t happen often. I usually have to alter my clothes because, well, I don’t fill out the tops very well. So when something actually fits without the need for alterations, it usually goes in the PURCHASE IMMEDIATELY pile.
I love the halter neckline and the bow detail in the back. Can’t forget the POCKETS. And how adorable are the little pom poms that line the bottom hem of the skirt?? It pairs so well with a crisp white sweater, for those colder evenings, as well as a straw hat for those sunny days.
