TULLE SKIRT s-m (c/o), LACE CAMISOLE xs (also available as a bodysuit), COACH BELT xs
Spring is just around the corner and I cannot wait! Things are already looking up and warmer days always make me happier. The weather in Los Angeles has already been amazing, so I’m ready to leave the cold and darkness behind, and brighten things up with spring pastels and florals.
This dusty blue polka dot tulle skirt is a great transition piece into spring because it carries the softness of winter, but also the brightness of spring. It’s a FULL circle, so plenty of swishing and twirling is achievable.
I wore it with a similar colored lace camisole for a monochromatic look. But you can also add a navy blazer for when it gets a little chilly.
To round out the look, I took inspiration from (of all places) my martial arts learning. It’s a concept called “Sky, Man, Earth,” symbolizing the relationship and harmony between the heavens, humanity, and the planet. It translates to one’s body as well, head being sky, stomach being man, and feet being earth.
Here I represented that with the color black. Black hair = Sky. Black belt = man. Black shoes = earth. It’s all connected and it creates a balanced look, especially when everything else is one homogeneous color.
What do you think?
