SKIRT xs (c/o), BOW SWEATER s (c/o), HEELS sz7
When I tell you that I love plaid, I mean I LOOOVE plaid. I will wear it year round, I don’t care. I love buffalo check, tartan, gingham, houndstooth, you name it. Obviously it’s a staple pattern during the fall and winter months, especially in wool, fleece and flannel form.
This midi skirt is the perfect mix of pattern and material. It’s really thick, so it’ll for sure keep you warm during the cooler months.
This is a small detail, but I appreciate a good v-shaped yoke waistband. It keeps the front nice and flat before the skirt flares out. And yes, it does indeed have pockets!
I paired it with my favorite sweater. I’ve worn this sweater with a dozen different skirts, and it works with all of them. (It comes in black and pink too!) It closes at the back of the neck with two pearl buttons.
It doesn’t need accessories because of the bow detail and flared sleeves, which make it more than just a plain old sweater. It’s a really great transition piece, for those times when it’s a little chilly, but not cold enough for a full on coat.
What do you think?
