RED DRESS S/4, GLITTER FLATS sz 7, RIBBON FACE MASK holiday vintage
There is a shade of red for every woman. – Audrey Hepburn
Obviously I had to start the series with red. Not only is it the first color of the rainbow, but also because it’s THE COLOR of the season. I personally have a hard time dressing in red because it’s such a bold color, and up until now, I never even owned a red dress. It can be a little tricky because red falls under the entire hue spectrum of warm to cool. For me, if it’s too orangey, I look washed out.
This dress, however, is the perfect red! It’s closer to true red, maybe even a little on the cooler side. Also, I’m obsessed with fit & flare dresses. Firstly because they’re fun and flirty and have so much movement. And secondly because they give me SHAPE, which I kind of lack in all areas…
The material of this dress is stretchy so it hugs you in all the right places, but isn’t constricting. It also has some weight to it, giving you that all important swishy feeling, perfect for twirling. Oh yea, did I mention, IT HAS POCKETS! That sealed the deal for me.
Lastly, don’t forget to wear a mask! If you happen to be leaving your house for any reason, absolutely put one on. And hey, you don’t have to sacrifice style for safety. Wrap up your outfit with a neat little bow in the form of a ribbon mask, so you can look cute while staying safe. FYI, I make these, and you can find them in my Etsy store!
