Orange is the happiest color. – Frank Sinatra
Before this past fall, I owned NOTHING in orange because I was not a fan of the color. I thought it didn’t match with anything, the same way it doesn’t rhyme with anything. But we’re allowed to change our minds, right? There really is something about it that brings out the warmth and cheerfulness of a person, especially during fall and winter.
“Orange is a color of liberation, from the pains of hurtful love and inner insecurities. To channel orange is to truly be free, to be you” – Frank Ocean
That said, I seriously can’t stop wearing this sweater! It’s shown up in a couple places on my Instagram already. At first I thought the color was TOO orange (if that’s even possible), because on the website it looks a lot more muted. But I actually find that it’s the PERFECT orange.
The sweater itself is super oversized and super comfy, with raw hem details and the cutest POM POMS! It’s the type of sweater you wear when you want to curl up on your couch with a bowl of popcorn to watch your favorite guilty pleasure Hallmark movie.
However, if you want to dress it up (for a socially distanced/virtual holiday party, of course), it pairs well with blue, black or white bottoms and nude heels. And if I didn’t say it yet, wear a mask! This black and white check ribbon mask can be found in my Etsy store!
