VELVET BLOUSE S/4, PLAID CAPRIS xs
Purple is the color of royalties. It stands for luxury, wealth and sophistication. It is also the color of passion, romance and sensitivity. — Amira, Queen of Creativity
We’re officially one week away from Christmas! This time of year always feels so hectic, and it wasn’t made better or easier with a raging pandemic in tow. The whole year feels like such a blur and I honestly remember very little of it.
Hopefully after New Year’s things will calm down a bit, but for now, we should all take this time to focus on what’s important.
So for a while, (early 2000s, anyone?) velvet/velveteen/velour was considered tacky and tasteless. But it’s made a resurgence over the past couple years to much better reception. If done right, it can look polished and refined. I present you with exhibit A.
Not to mention, purple has long been the color reserved for royalty and nobility, and there is no denying you will feel like a queen in this velvety top. The deep purple is luxuriously elegant, paired with puffy sleeves and buttoned cuffs. There’s also an attached necktie that adds that extra little sophistication.
Pair it with some skinny capris and you will be a vintage regal vision. The plaid capris are skin tight, but oh so stretchy, hugging you in all the right places and showing off your curves (which I don’t have very much of, so any help is welcome!) Also, I like that the zipper is in the back, preventing you from getting that awkward lump in the front when you sit down. XD
