I think white is the most wonderful color of all, because within it one can find every color of the rainbow. — Richard Meier
So this is one of those dresses that I kept seeing everywhere and wanted to own, but could never bring myself to buy it because it’s a bit on the pricier side. The only reason I have it is because I won a giveaway another blogger was running a couple years ago. Otherwise, it would forever be on my wish list.
Even after 2 years, though, it’s still available, which tells me that it’s a classic and timeless piece. It’s perfect for all sorts of occasions: bridal showers (that’s what I wore it for!), holiday parties, baby showers, anniversaries, date nights, book signings, grand openings, award ceremonies, etc.
It’s fully lined with a nude underdress, so even though it looks sheer in some places, everything is still covered up. There’s intricate lace detailing all over, a zipper in the back, and hooks and eyes in the front, so you can decide how high you want that slit to go. It also comes with a contrast ribbon belt.
Structurally, it’s very thick and sturdy, but still overall feels delicate and feminine. The only issue I have with it is in the butt region. Basically, if you have pancakes like me, it’s going to look a little saggy back there from all the extra fabric. Time to do some squats.
I’ve linked a few other similar options below, priced low to high.
